Ronald Hinton Jr., President

Ron is a lifelong resident of Allegheny West, and owned and managed a retail business on the community’s North 22nd Street Commercial Corridor for nearly two decades. He was an active AWF board member before becoming its president, and has worked for the Tasty Baking Company as a field sales coordinator, and as a customer services consultant for PECO Energy Corp.

He has a wealth of experience serving the Philadelphia community, and is dedicated to improving the Allegheny West neighborhood where he grew up. Ron’s role is central to establishing the foundation’s goals and objectives, and he is responsible for AWF’s day-to-day management and administration in addition to overseeing all economic development, housing development and community programming.


Eleanor McDevitt, Property Manager

Eleanor is responsible for marketing for-sale housing and leasing our rental units. She manages AWF’s rehabilitated, partially subsidized rental houses and apartments, and coordinates all maintenance and repair. As a certified mortgage counselor, she advises potential first-time homebuyers and assists them along the path to homeownership, from mortgage acquisition to final settlement.


Jim J. Thomas III, Controller

Jim is an experienced financial executive who came to AWF, and the non-profit sector, after retiring from his corporate career. He is chiefly responsible for accounting for all of AWF’s revenues and expenditures, but also handles many personnel matters. Jim models and tracks all funding grants the foundation receives and the money it spends on housing development and various other programs, and creates and maintains records of the organization’s financial performance and budget.


Jenelle Lemon, Economic Development Liaison

Jenelle has several years of experience in government and community relations as a former aid to City Council. Currently, Jenelle has several responsibilities at the Foundation. She is the special assistant to the President and is responsible for special projects such as the Summer Career Exploration Program and the Foundation’s annual Community Day. As the economic development liaison, Jenelle handles community zoning issues and supports all economic development projects and organizations in the area, including the North 22nd Street Commercial Corridor and the Hunting Park–Germantown Business Association. As the Main Street manager Jenelle is responsible for revitalization projects on and around North 22nd Street.


Kiesha Garner, Community Liaison

Kiesha coordinates and administers the community outreach programs that are run out of our Community Center, including the monthly senior food giveaway, LIHEAP heating assistance and summer day trips for youth. Kiesha also maintains the foundation’s relationships with a variety of local civic groups, and plans collaborative community-based efforts with them.


Jacques Louis, Youth Program Director

Jacques directs our youth development programming, and is the chief strategist in the development of a network of youth services in North Philadelphia, where he is responsible for capacity assessment, feasibility determination and impact measurement. In this role, he works closely with adult and adolescent community members to refine the system’s vision and mission. This past summer, Jacques coordinated the foundation’s first Summer Youth Service Corps.

Prior to his current post at AWF, Jacques was the associate director of The Brotherhood/Sister Sol, a Harlem-based nonprofit organization that teaches Black and Latino youth to become critical thinkers and community leaders.


Elizabeth Moselle, Post-graduate Intern/Administrative Support Assistant

Elizabeth is chiefly responsible for providing assistance with writing, updating and/or editing the reports provided to the agencies that fund AWF, as well as the grant applications/proposals necessary to secure funding. She is also responsible for many day-to-day administrative duties. Elizabeth is very interested in learning about and gaining experience in community development.


Jesse White Jr., Maintenance Technician
Jesse works with Eleanor to maintain rental unit properties, and is responsible for the regular repairs necessary for residential upkeep.
